Field Trips

School Field Trips

In the past, gifted field trips have included visits to local museums, theme parks, plays and study abroad trips to Europe to broaden and enrich the gifted curriculum.  Please see Mrs. French if you have an idea for a field trip.

Student Travel Abroad

I have taken my Gifted students abroad from 2011 to 2013.  Allowing students the chance to experience amazing works of art, architecture and cultures they have long studied in their classes is an amazing culmination in the learning process. Students who travel benefit in many ways from increasing their confidence and self-esteem.  Students can immerse themselves in other cultures and learn about the world around them first hand rather than by just studying a book. Students' critical thinking and problem solving skills improve and students are able to make broad cultural and historical connections from being involved with a greater community than just the town they reside in.  Below are highlights from past trips.
